Let’s get right to it … ✨
Half Moon Cay, Bahamas 🇧🇸
The view was like nothing I had ever seen before. The ocean looked like a swimming pool. I was surrounded by pure beauty for the day when my cruise ship docked here.
After a relaxing day laying in the sun and swimming in the ocean, I was feeling a bit adventurous. I took it upon myself to rent a paddle board and take it alone out into the ocean. I thought, “this is going to be easy!” It was, for a little bit. Needles to say, I got distracted by the beauty & the calmness of the waves, checking out the coral, all that business. I ended up way out to where the cruise ship was, and had to get an ocean rescue. It was pretty adventurous and a day to remember 😊
Pitons, Saint Lucia 🇱🇨
This day was also packed with adventure. After the cruise ship had reached the port of Saint Lucia, my mom and I took a tour on a boat & got to see this beautiful view of the Pitons. We then had a delicious meal of traditional food prepared there. Next, we visited an island that had black sand, but crystal clear water. Again, nothing I ever got to see before, so amazing.
Y’all but that’s not all. Instead of by boat, we traveled by van to mud bath. This. Was. So. Cool. You literally put the mud on your body, and then got it off by dipping into the mud bath. Last but not least, we visited a waterfall on the side of the mountain and got to swim underneath of it. A day jam-packed full of good times. 🏖
Puerto Rico 🇵🇷
I looooove Puerto Rico. I first visited whenever my cruise ship had docked and spent the day getting a tour & cooking lesson. I traveled to Puerto Rico again the following year and loved it just as much as the first time.
Santa Barbara, California
A good view is all it takes to make my heart feel full. I was lucky enough to travel to California before my Fall semester last year. I got to see San Diego, Sacramento, Los Angeles, probably more but my memory is so terrible with remembering cities 🤦🏼♀️
Y’all, I LOVED everywhere I visited in California. There was beauty, adventures, peace, and happiness everywhere. It was truly a trip I could never forget.
New York City 🌃
I live relatively close to NYC and have only made it there once, but it stole my heart. I love the city. I got to see the Statue of Liberty 🗽, which is like a MUST when you visit NYC. The hotel had a balcony at night on the top floor where you could see the lit city that never sleeps.
There was also a street I visited that had Arabic stores on both sides! It was one of my favorite things- ever. There were restaurants, clothing stores, doctors, dentists, hookah, spice markets. It was a site I had never seen before, and I was in love! Another trip to never forget.
Wait, I made it to 5 already?
A future blog post on what didn’t make the cut to this post is definitely going to be in the near soon. I am so incredibly blessed to have traveled to so many breathtaking places.
Until next time…
